Super Bowl Retail Promotions

January can be a slow month for sales and even visitors to your sports business.  The Stanley Cup is not until June and we know that even though you are in the stick sports business, you and your customers are looking forward to the big kickoff.

Here's a few ideas to get in the game.

1.  Social Media contest

Ask your social fans to post their favourite Super Bowl recipe on your Facebook Page or Twitter account.  The entry with the most 'shares' or 'retweets' wins a prize.  Give away a Rocket Sport Dryer for example.  Share Super Bowl trivia on your social media to engage your customers as well.


2.  Tailgate Party

Host a tailgate party at your location on Super Bowl Sunday or days leading up to the game.  Provide food and drinks (non-alcohol) and finger foods.  Select several items or services to put on sale.  Offer a range of discounts on other items determined by the customer tossing a football into buckets or cut-out holes in a piece of plywood.  Where legal or by a lottery license, run popular raffles or draws related to the football game.

3. Decorate

Now that the holiday decor is put away, build atmosphere with some simple football party items from your local party supply store.  Streamers, balloons, plates, cups, hats and signs should show your spirit well.
